After the PPV last night, how did my predictions stack up with the event?

Rich Swann and Akira Tozawa vs. The Brian Kendrick and Noam Dar (with Alicia Fox)

Ok, i didn’t get this one, i don’t blame myself, who could have predicted the outcome of four men randomly being thrown into a tag match. There is the feud between Brian and Akira, but this has only been playing for 3~4 weeks, not much to go on, hope this is a sign that the company will start building the cruiser weight devision.

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Goldberg

Yeah! first win of the night for me. Goldberg is the new universal champion. I don’t know why they had the match go so short, i’d have thought that a longer contest between KO and Goldberg would have served the division better in the long run. Anyway, KO was buried and Chris Jericho made his return. I’ll assume Chris has now gone full babyface as the merch is for sale.

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

Woop, 2-1 now puts me in the lead!!! Roman went over, the WWE have handed Braun his first loss since the start of his push (that i can remember). Watching JDfromNY, he made the point that Roman should win by DQ, this would have kept both men strong. Even Braun winning by DQ would be preferable to the clean Roman win…

Neville (c) vs. Jack Gallagher

You can see from the colour that the misses now equal the hits. Neville retained, hope they keep the feud going, most entertaining part of the division at the moment, also, bloody good match!

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (c) vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass

Back into the lead with a slender advantage of 3-2! Luke and Karl had to retain, having them lose at their first PPV event would have put the team in a position I couldn’t see them returning from.

Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

Wow, the streak has gone! Bayley retains and awesome news it is too. Having the belt flipflop from superstar to superstar doesn’t do anyone or thing any favours, if you just think of the belt, having it change hands all the time devalues it, if anyone can win it, no one would want to.

Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

Also Nias streak is gone! who’d have thunk it, thought you could have bet your house on the outcome, Sasha needs a new feud buddy though, being the third wheel between Bayley and Charlotte isn’t making good use of her talent. Oh crap, i’m behind as well!

Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe

Good, good, the build of Samoa Joe continues. I think he has moments of looking like a blob fish, just saying. Sami needs a push, it’s only worth beating him while he’s someone to beat.

I’m not including the “bonus” matches, no one cares, there’s no story line (i really hope they run with Rusev and Jindah breaking up). Glad Cesaro and Big Show got on the card, two proper showmen. As a side point, hope that Show’s WM match goes ahead, he’s obviously put a lot of work in.

4-4, a draw, at least that’s a fair starting point. Wouldn’t be any point to analysis if i got them all right, and, if i’m honest, if i’d got it all wrong, i wouldn’t do another.
